Natural Ways to Fight Bags Under the Eyes

Having bags under the eyes is a telltale sign of exhaustion. They form when fluids accumulate in the region. That can be caused by a lack of sleep, stress, allergies, and more.

Egg whites

Egg whites aren’t just for a healthy breakfast. You can also incorporate them into your beauty treatment for under-eye bags. All you need is the white of one egg and a small brush.

Using the brush, apply the egg white to your skin and let it dry (about 20 minutes). You’ll know when to remove the egg when it’s completely dried and has a slightly white color. Rinse with warn water and enjoy more hydrated, toned skin.

Cucumber slices to reduce inflammation

A classic beauty technique is to place a slice of cucumber over each eye. This not only provides a fresh, pleasant sensation, but also helps eliminate bags under the eyes.

Cucumber helps fight fluid retention, thanks to its vitamin C and silica content. Just take two slices of this vegetable, place them in the freezer for a few minutes until they’re nice and cold, and put one over each eye for 10 minutes.

Avoid sodium

Salt makes your body retain more water than it normally would. This results in a bloated feeling, and it applies to every part of your body – including your eyes. Cutting out the salt from you diet isn’t easy for everyone, but there are countless health and beauty benefits.

Stay hydrated

Use two cold spoons

If you find you’re still having problems, try this neat trick with spoons. You’ll need to take two clean, metal spoons and put them in the freezer. Leave them in overnight, or at least for 5 hours.

Put one spoon over each eye where the bags have formed and let them sit until they warm to room temperature. If you do this every two weeks, you’ll definitely see results.
